Hehe... evil is fun. =P I act too, and while I usually end up being in nice-guy roles (more like me, I guess), I have enormous amounts of fun playing villains. I'm considering maybe picking up the "heartless" Boq... I'll wait a bit though so I can make sure I can handle three characters with no problems. I'm a bit limited with my computer time now, but I shouldn't be in a little less than a month when I go off to college.

Yup! I'm excited, heh. My parents are pretty controlling... no computer after 6, stupid things like that. But I'll be free then. It'll be like Shiz, minus things like sorcery and funky uniforms. =P

Weird. Mine are pretty laid back. I'm starting my sophomore year. Taking plenty of acting classes...and a few core ones. I'm a double theatre major: design and performance.

Eh, I wish I could do that. I mean, I could... but my parents want me to major in Marketing, and they're the ones paying for it so I don't really have a choice. But I'm going to take as many acting courses as I can for electives, and take part in community theater while I'm there. ;D Who knows, I might even try out for Broadway after I graduate. The good thing about acting is that you don't have to major in theater to do it, it just helps.

True true. But it sure helps! I've learned so much. But of course I picked a really good school that was primarily for the arts. And they're all working professionals. They're really amazing ppl to work with. They've worked for a lot of diff theatre types: community, summer stock (the dept head actually owned a summer stock theatre), children's theatre, broadway, off-broadway, touring, soap-opera, movies, tv shows. They have a lot of connections too, which is also nice.

Yeah? Ugh, I'm jealous... that's so cool. =P Oh well, I'll just do my best and hope it works out. And if not, I have my marketing major to fall back on, so no worries!

Yeah see, the only thing that I can do if I fail as an actress is either marry rich or teach. Or i guess I could try more risky professions like writing. Everything I like to do has no sure fire jobs! But, even though I say that, there are really a lot more jobs out there for actors/actresses than people think. but you have to be willing to travel wherever the jobs are.

Hey - I've been reading the thread. I go to NYU for Musical theater. Where do you guys go?
Boq sounds like fun. Mombie too.
By the way - Poly is a student teacher in Gale Tower (she's a senior, but taking on a TA role) so maybe I can open a beginning level Lit/history class. Might be interesting... especially with Poly being so naive.

NYU fancy! My greek big sis is actually looking into going to NYU for their two year Playwriting course. She already graduated with a threatre degree. I go to an itty bitty Liberal Arts school in Georgia. I'm only a sophomore, but I wanna be in NYC permenately NOW! Every time I visit I just feel like i'm home. I know i'm chasing dreams, but I wouldn't be happy any other way.
What's your favorite role (or show) you've played to date (musical and non-musical)? Have you lived in NYC forever or just since u've been to school?

I think there's a tie to musical theatre and roleplaying. We like living in fantasy
