Why do you want to be a Sorcery Major? My idol is Glinda the Good, and I have done everything in my power to be just like her. My hair is blonde and curled. I wear almost nothing but pink, and I have been practicising with my wand day and night. I’m also very popular with everyone I meet, and everyone gets along with me quite well. The more people who are fond of you the better off you’ll be in life. I learned from Glinda and her book “How to Be Popular” that THE most important thing in life is to make a good impression on each and every person you meet. So that’s what I do! Every ozian I come into contact with, I give them a great big smile and generally they smile back.

Why Should The Sorcery Department Accept You? Because I will become successful. I will follow in the footsteps Glinda and become famed for Shiz and this department. I will become a public figure with the powers enabled by the Shiz Sorcery department. I will be an asset, first and foremost because my parents are already famed among Oz and the Emerald City, and someday, I will surpass their fame. Then, the school can proudly say, ‘we trained that amazing young woman.’

Why do you want to be a Sorcery Major? I would like to unravel and train any gifts that I may have in sorcery.
Why Should The Sorcery Department Accept You? I would like to develop my skills as a sorcerer and use it to the best I can to do well for Oz, as both government/political science and sorcery are my main focuses.

Unfortunately Ian opened his letter from Shiz and found that Mombie had rejected his Sorcery application. True to form she did not want anyone praticing Sorcery who had any strong political leanings - especially one who might want to work for the Emerald City someday. Though she of course didn't say this and merely said that "there are so many wonderful canidates for Sorcery we simply can't accept them all - especially someone who only wants to minor in it. We can however offer independent studies to help you control any already present powers" - she didn't add "but not develop them." "You have been assigned to Emerald Tower." It finished.

But maybe there's someone else at Shiz who can help Ian with his sorcery...?

Why do you want to be a Sorcery Major? My mother was...is...a sorcery major. Though I am very different from my mother in some respects, I look up to her and want to follow in her footsteps in so much as I can, including her agility with magic, ruling ability, and popularity.
Why Should The Sorcery Department Accept You? So I can learn to develope the natural powers born within me and be a better ruler should I take my mother's position someday.

Why do you want to be a Sorcery Major:

a little about her abilities in third person
Angelique does have magical abilities, although they remain untapped at the moment. She has done extremely minor things in the past, such as re-filling a glass of water without meaning to, however, Georigina has not really taken notice. Rather, she hasn't realized what she has been doing and has only dismissed the incidents as strange or her just doing something automatically and forgetting about it.

Angelique's personal opinion
Since I was child, I have always been fascinated by the arts, from musical instruments to dance, I learned it all. However, it was not enough, I also wanted to actually learn, to be able to do something with my life in the future, so I applied myself to more studious subjects like the maths as well as the sciences. However, I have always had a soft spot for the arts, only doing the rest of the things so that I would have a better chance at life.

Now that I've been accepted into Shiz, I would like to try applying for the sorcery program. I believe that with my knowledge in both the arts as well as many other subjects, it will allow me a better grasp on the lessons in magic, a better understanding on why something is happening.

My own parents are already prominent figures in society, my father being a public figure with my mother at his side. They are known for their kindness to the poor as well as their knowledge and wise decisions. Upon my completion of my studies, I will join them in making a better place for everybody to live in, somewhere where the poor won't have to be afraid and where they could come to me for help, whether it be healing and finding people or by using my powers to help create and build shelters and provide food.

Why Should The Sorcery Department Accept You:

Because I will succeed. I will complete my studies no matter how long it will take me, because I know that with the knowledge that I learn at Shiz, I will be able to make a better world for everybody else. As well, with my background in the arts, I will bring an appreciation for the craft that not many others would have. As well, with my background in the maths and sciences, hard work and studying is certainly not new to me, which would make be the perfect candidate for sorcery.

Approved! But please note: first year sorcery majors do not live in Glinda tower. Given Georgiana's interest in the arts she will live in Gale Tower for her first year, and supplement her sorcery classes with a minor in the performing arts. Students are officially accepted into the sorcery program (or not) once their first year is completed, and then move into Glinda tower.
