That book is fantastic. I'm actually reading the sequel (Son of a Witch) right now, ha. =P Though, be warned... it's really completely different from the musical. A lot darker, as well as deeper. But still just as good in its own way. =)

You really have to take them differently. I love Wicked the book as something entirely seperate from the musical. They have similar plot lines, but it is SO different. And then you get to the sequel and you're like 'whoa'
i'd heard rumors before that they were considering making a musical sequel as well (if not on broadway then a movie version) but if they wanted to base it off the musical original they really couldn't do the book sequel plot line AT ALL.

You'll fall in love with all of them. At least, I did. Candle (she's your main girl in the sequel) is actually my all time favorite character! If they did make that book a musical one day I'd die to play her. Currently, I'd die to play Glinda, lol.
Yeah, I don't think you'll get confused. You just really have to treat them seperately. At least, that's what I did.

I also love "Mirror Mirror" - a little inconsistant, but great. I want him to write one about Sleeping Beauty!

When I read the book, I wasn't as into wicked as I am now. It will need to be re-read. But, It was a good book, and it IS very different. =/

please don't do a musical sequel, just don't. as much as i love the musical, it ended. creating a new one would just be dragging it out, and it would be crap. kind of like hairspray and the phantom of the opera.

I agree! I would LOVE to see a musical of "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" though
