"Well...we could just lie here in the sun in one another's company. Or...we could go over to the rose gardens, and I could pick you one with these..." he pulled out a pair of clippers, "clippers that I just happened to bring along."

He flung the clippers off to the side and tickled her back, managing to pin her down on her back, still unrelenting as he placed little kisses on her face.

"No, there's better things yet to come, I'm sure of it." He pulled her tight up close to him, both of them on their knees and held her there, just for a moment. "But I love this moment, too, and I'm not sure how it could get any better."

Kay's hair suddenly blew straight up in the breeze then glided down in perfect tendrils. "You smell like flowers. I know, boys probably don't want to smell like flowers, but I like it..."

"No I particularly like flowers," he laughed, nuzzling his nose into her hair. "You smell like...lilac. Yeah, that's just what you smell like. Fresh lilacs. One of the best scents in the world..."

"Speaking of roses, how about I get you one, hmm?" he kissed her cheek and bent down to get the clippers, then proceeded to the garden full of thorny roses. He got the least prickly, prettiest bloom he saw, and cut it. Then came back and proudly presented it to Kay. "A beautiful rose, for a beautiful lady." he bowed as he said it and presented.

He kissed her cheek and linked her arm in his. "What do you say to a little stroll?" he leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "we'll make the by standers have to do some covert catching up."

He walked close with her, eventually changing their linked arms to intertwined fingers. "Do you ever wonder what the future will be like? I don't have a past to remember, so I think about the future a lot..."
