Ellie ran over, also concerned by his reaction to Elphaba. "What's wrong?"

She didn't want to think it was the way she looked, but it probably was. He was terribly sensitive. "He's probably just fussy," she dodged pulling him in close to her, turning his head to her chest and bouncing him. He quieted almost immediately. "It's their nap time, but I couldn't find anyone to keep them..."

"No, it's probably me." Elphaba said. "I'll...I'll go."

"No! Don't..." she continued to bounce him in her arms. "He's fine now. He's just fussy, that's all." she hated to think that it probably was, but Elphaba was probably right. "He's just needy. I got an overly emotional boy and an independant little girl." she laughed at herself. Some days she hated that. Tristan required her constant attention, and when she had time to give to Gayelette, she didn't really want it. Until she tried to walk and ran into tables. Then she cried and wanted mommy to kiss her head.

"It's ok. I'm used to it. That's why we kept Ellie away for so long."

"He's scary. Gayelette's fine. It just takes so little to set him off, and he wants Mommy." she stroked Tristan's soft blonde locks. "I am sorry." She felt so awfully for Elphaba. People shouldn't have to feel badly because of the color of their skin...

Glinda'd always had a bit of a knack with children. Her desire to have one for so long had kept it alive within her. "I'll take him," she switched children with Claire, taking Tristan in her arms. She began to hum a little song, rocking him in her arms. He smile back up at her, cooing and relaxing. He was a beautiful little boy, much like what her own child might have looked like.

"It's ok Claire. Lots of things scare children - then when they grow up they can see the beauty, (or lack there of) of what things really are."

"You're right.." she sighed. "But your Goddaughter is fearless..." she laughed, handing the little girl to Ellie as Gayeletted reached out toward Elphaba. She seemed to want to touch the woman's green skin, curious if it might feel as interesting as it looked.

"By the way" Ellie said trying to change the subject "have you met Boq?"

OOC: I'm confused - are you talking as Claire, or Glinda? I meant to ask Claire the question

"A time or two...I don't think we've been formally introduced. I'm Claire Keats, and it's a pleasure to meet your aquaintance."

"Yes. It's a pleasure to make your aquaintance..." Claire repeated, looking around the room. What an odd grouping! She knew Boq liked Glinda because she had heard from the students how he harped on her in class, but she hadn't realized it was a mutual feeling. And she'd also heard he had a certain dislike for Elphaba...and Ellie being Elphaba's daughter she'd assumed wasn't his favorite person, so why were they all here together now?
"Were you having a party and I wasn't invited, Glinda?" she smiled, laughing a little.
