Allegience: He had never really had much of an opinion on politics before. In the past year or so, plenty has happened in the public eye; he didn't find it too difficult to accept that the famed Witch of the West had turned good. Looking back on the history of Oz, he disagrees with many of the things that the Wizard did while in rule, but his alleged journey to another world intrigues Skylar greatly.
Appearance: Due to his Quadling heritage, Skylar has skin of a bit darker tone. He is fairly attractive; he has short black hair that he tends to style up a bit. He dresses nicely, though his clothes have a bit of a foreign feel to them -- he's picked up plenty of his fashion tastes from his travels. He's of average height, and fairly skinny, though he's active enough that he has some muscle. Usually optimistic, he typically has a bright smile on his face.

Background History: The son of two Ruby speculators, Sky lived most of his life traveling. He was born into a decent amount of wealth, as his parents had provided the Wizard with many of the Quadling rubies that decorated the Emerald City and filled its treasuries. He lived in Quadling Country for the first few years of his life, but after the Wizard fell his parents felt it would be better to seek their fortunes elsewhere. From then on they travelled throughout Oz, living first in Munchkinland for its sapphires, then in the Vinkus for a short amount of time. They then travelled outside of Oz for a short while, buying and trading various goods in faraway lands like Ev and even Ix. They lived outside of Oz roughly from the time Skylar was 12 to the time he was 16, then moved to the Upper Uplands using the small fortune that they had amassed. After Oz was reclaimed by Ozma Tippetarius, they moved back to their home land of Quadling Country.
Now at Shiz, Skylar hasn't lost his wanderlust. He studies the history of Oz and its surrounding areas, learning as much as he can about them. His ultimate goal is to travel to as many lands as possible. Lands beyond the Nonestic Ocean surrounding their continent, but also lands of a different type -- such as the mysterious world from which the Wizard of Oz and the legendary Dorothy Gale are rumored to have come from.
Personality Traits/Flaws: Skylar is generally a pretty likeable person. He gets along with most everybody, and does his best to avoid getting into arguments. However, as a result he tends not to commit to any particular opinion. Not that he cares; political issues and the like aren't something he really cares about. He's relatively smart; he doesn't do spectacularly in classes he has no interest in, although he excells stunningly in classes such as history. He is fairly athletic, and enjoys spending time outdoors. He is able to get along with people from all walks of life, a skill necessary when living in so many different countries and cultures. Skylar rarely judges on first glance, realizing from an early age that you can't judge a book by its cover. He trusts people naturally, and will only stop if they've earned his mistrust.
