Name: Taye Arcelus Keats
Species: Ozian (Emerald City); family originally hailed from Gillikin.
Birthdate: April 28
Age: 19
Year at Shiz/Year Graduated (if attended Shiz): Second Year
Major/House at Shiz Political Science/Emerald Tower
Birthplace: Emerald City
Allegience: While he has done a lot of research into the happenings of the past five years, Taye doesn't really consider himself allied with anyone. He sympathizes with Elphaba's cause; however, he could never help but to admire all that the Wizard accomplished during his time in Oz. That doesn't mean that he considered the Wizard a good person, however... he just acknowledges the Wizard's political genius.
Appearance: Taye is of average height, around 5' 8", with a slightly athletic build. He has medium brown hair, dark brown eyes, and fair skin. He is what most people would consider handsome; he takes care of his appearance, and manages to pull off a "cool, yet casual" look. He is in all respects a city boy; he is well-informed about most of the latest fashions of the Emerald City. He isn't obsessed with his appearance, but he does like to look good if he can help it.

Sexual Orientation Bi
Background History: Taye was born into an old Ozian family with a moderate amount of wealth; his parents were both big supporters of the Wizard when he was in power, as he helped them to gain a lot of their social standing. Taye had a lot of friends back in the Emerald City; but, as he was more involved with his studies than they were, he went to Shiz while most of them went away to Quox University instead. His parents have always played a large role in Taye's life, and not necessarily in a good way. Always social climbers, they want nothing more than for Taye to marry a blueblood who would help to further increase the worth of the Keats name, but Taye isn't quite so concerned with that.
Personality Traits/Flaws: Taye is a city boy at heart; he likes to have a good time, and would be bored to death in someplace like Munchkinland. He is fairly laid-back, and is very easy to get along with. Taye can become friends with almost anyone; he doesn't care very much about being popular, so he wouldn't have any problems with befriending a social outsider. Oddly enough, even without trying, Taye manages to be one of the most popular guys at Shiz anyway. Always fun to be around, Taye can always be counted on for a laugh or two. His parents dream of the Keats name being as recognizable as the Upland family, and wouldn't hesitate to use Taye as a means to that end. That was part of why they paid for him to go to Shiz; after all, many of the Ozian elite were Shiz alumni. Taye is not quite as concerned with these socialite goals; however, he does take a great interest in the ever-changing political climate of Oz, and someday dreams of being a part of it, maybe even being the next Wizard or Glinda. Many of Taye's peers would take his laid-back nature to mean that he slacks off in school, when in actuality he is quite smart and has a lot of valuable opinions if one takes the time to listen. Taye has always been fairly popular with the ladies and boys alike, but considers them second to his political aspirations. He can be slightly self-centered however; not in a selfish way, but in an unaware way that causes him not to notice the needs and demands of others. While he rarely intentionally harms anyone, he can be inattentive to the needs of others simply due to being inattentive. He also has a tendency to look down on people who he considers to be unmotivated, ignorant, or cowardly, for he considers these things to be personal vices that one can fix if one tries. Politically, he tends to favor Machiavellian tactics in which the end justifies the means.
Intrests/Hobbies Taye likes to read, and takes a great deal of interest in the history of Oz; he finds especial interest in the research of the old Royal Historian of Oz, Baum. He enjoys going places like nightclubs and ballrooms, as well as occasional sports. He doesn't always have to be out and about however; it's good much of the time, but sometimes simply hanging out with his friends is enough.
Likes History and politics, parties, spending time outdoors, girls, boys, books, friends
Dislikes Parental pressure, unmotivated people, being bored, people who are high-maintenance, cowardice, ignorance
Greatest Fear: Living an utterly unimportant life with no influence whatsoever.
Strengths: Courage, intelligence, focus, open-mindedness, charisma
Weaknesses: His youth causes adults not to take him seriously, he has a tendency be too focused on his goals (thus ignoring those around him), his popularity causes people to sometimes stereotype him accordingly (stupid, mean, etc.), his machiavellian tactics sometimes accidentally harm others, he holds on to his opinions strongly and sometimes gets into arguments because of it.
Best Memory: Going to meet the Wizard when he was younger with his parents
Worst Memory: All the times his parents yelled at him for socializing with people who were "below" him.
Goals: Hopes to influence the political system of Oz, and perhaps be the next Wizardly or Glinda-like political figure.

Taye flipped through the worn pages of the book he had checked out from Dillamond Library. It was a political commentary analyzing the differences between the reigns of Ozma and the Wizard. Interesting, but nothing that he hadn't read before. Honestly, if it wasn't for that Dorothy girl dropping into Oz, Ozian history would probably have continued to be the same old thing as it always had. With the Wizard gone, there was now all kinds of political unrest... especially with the Scarecrow missing and all these rumors about the Nome King and the Witch of the West rising up. Taye found it fascinating; he considered himself extremely luckified to be living in such a turning point in the history of Oz. With all of the confusification going on, what better time to make a name for himself? His parents simply wanted him to join the financial elite of the Emerald City, but that wasn't enough for him. If he was able to influence the government of Oz, he could work to make a better world for everyone. He'd become a part of that world if he had to kill himself.
