Glinda slipped stealthily into little Kay Tip's room and placed a tiny pink journal on her bed. If she was going to fix everything good she had messed up, she was going to have to do it quickly. Upon the first page was scrawled:
"Kay,
This is Glinda the Good. I know you are probably quite confusified as to why I would sneak into your room and leave you a journal. Well, that is because it is a magic journal. I have heard your cries and prayers and know how Mombie treats you. So if you ever want to tell me anything, if you ever need help, this journal connects to me directly and only you and I can see it. If anyone else opens it, the pages will be blank, but to you and I they share our most intimate thoughts to one another. I know you are a very special little girl, Kay, and you will grow up to do great things, but until you do, I am here to guide and protect you.
