Name:Dorothy Gale
SpeciedOrdinary Kansas Girl
Birthdate:June 4th
Age: 12
Year at Shiz/Year Graduated (if attended Shiz)Never attended. However Gale tower is named for her.
Major/House at ShizGale tower is named for her
Birthplace: Kansas
Allegience Unsure. After her last experience she is not on the side of the Wizard. All things considered she has the most sympathy for Elphaba, though she is not "on her side" per say. It might be better to say that all of Oz seems to be on Dorothy's side - whatever that is.
Appearance: Small in stature with distinctive blue eyes and ringlets, Dorothy is a wide eyed, sweet young girl often seen in blue and white gingham.
Picture:
Sexual Orientation Straight. Though Dorothy is not yet interested in boys.
Background History: Dorothy was born in a small farm community in Kansas. Her parents died at an early age, and Dorothy was raised by her Aunt Em, and Uncle Henry. At the age of 12 she was blown to Oz when her house was carried by a cyclone, and landed in Munchkinland (the twister was caused by Madame Morrible.) Her house fell on, and killed Nessarose - the Wicked Witch of the East. She was instantly hailed as a hero, and was instructed by Glinda the Good to follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City, where the Wizard would help her get home. She was given the infamous Jeweled or Ruby slippers by Glinda in order to get them out of the dangerous atmosphere of Munchkinland. However, her possession of the shoes attracted the unwanted attention of Elphaba who eventually captured her (and her companions: The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion) and held them captive in Kiamo Ko.
Dorothy was instructed by the Wizard to kill Elphaba in order to be able to return home. She ventured to Kiamo Ko however not to kill Elphaba, but to beg her forgiveness for killing her sister. She ended up unwittingly "melting" Elphaba when she tried to save her when she got to close to the fire. The melting however was just a ploy Elphaba used to escape from Oz. She is also responsible for discovering the truth about the Wizard. Dorothy eventually made her way back to Kansas, however she is still very deeply connected to Oz, and will certainly have more adventures there. She however, for better or worse has become a living legend, and political figure in Oz. Many would like to take advantage of her status.
Personality Traits/Flaws: Dorothy is very strong, polite, and kind. She is still very young, and can be perhaps a little too gentle and loving.
Intrests/Hobbies Daydreaming, taking long walks, animals, reading
Likes Oz, good Witches, her family
Dislikes True wckedness
Greatest Fear: Being forever seporated from her family and friends. Being in mortal danger.
Strengths Brain, heart, courage
Weaknesses Innocence, youth, a stranger who doesn't quite know the rules in this new world
Best Memory Two - meeting the Scarecrow, and returning to Kansas
Worst Memory Discovering she had killed the Witch of the East
Goals: Still unsure. Find a way to keep a connection between Kansas and Oz
