Glinda sat at the head of the table, now surrounded by Claire, Kay, Taye, Ian, Polly, and Dorothy. What a hodge podge group she had collected. She wished Elphie and Ellie were here, too. Fiyero, Boq, and TicToc for that matter.
"We need a plan of action.." It was very un-Glinda-like of her to seem so depressed, but then again, this group had never seen her as a politician behind closed doors. This was her team, and they needed to brainstorm, FAST!

Polly suddenly looked to her right. "Oh sweet Oz! It's Dorothy Gale!" She exclaimed! She did a little courtsey, and added "Dorothy conqured the Witch once! Oh, if only the Scarecrow were still here..."

Taye felt like his head was spinning. First the Witch of the West, then Nomes, then Glinda, and now the legendary Dorothy Gale? It was almost too much to take.
"Well, what do we know so far about the Nomes?" He asked, trying to keep a level head.

"What's going on?" said Dorothy. "Where am I? Is this Oz? Are you saying that the Wicked Witch isn't dead?"

Kay gasped. This was the legendary Dorothy Gale? She had heard all kinds of stories from the villagers in Gillikin... how Dorothy had single-handedly destroyed the Wicked Witches of the East and West, and had helped the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion find their respective brains, hearts, and courage. It was a truly fantastic story. And yet, seeing her here next to them, Kay almost had trouble believing it. Surely this couldn't be her... Dorothy looked no older than herself! She didn't look like some kind of house-summoning sorceress. Was this why Dorothy had suddenly appeared? Because the Wicked Witch of the West wasn't dead after all, and she was sent do destroy her again?
"Yes, this is Oz... the Emerald City, I think," Kay said timidly, for no one else had spoken. She had said at the party that she wanted to see the Emerald City, but certainly not so suddenly or under these circumstances! She hesitated, then added, "My name is Kay Tippetarius... it's an honor to meet you, Miss Gale."

Dorothy looked at Kay - honestly glad to have a friend her age.
"Then if this is Oz, and the Witch isn't dead... that's wonderful!" She said, and burst into tears. She had been trying to save the Witch that day, not kill her.
Dorothy was a little taken aback - these people were almost... worshiping her!

"I... I don't know how I got here, or how to get back. I lost the ruby slippers flying back to Kansas"

Ian was a bit outraged that Dorothy had infact shown up again in a time of chaos. He couldn't help but actually start to think that she was sent here once again to kill Elphaba.. having obviously failed the first time. Even with her now saying she was here to save her..
Ian was so shaken by the sight of Ellie in Elphaba's hands. He sided with Elphaba plenty, but he was never positive about her actual behavior. He didnt know if he COULD infact trust her with Ellie. He was indeed frightened. He was quite angry that no one else had continued to find a plan to retrieve Ellie..
"Glinda.." he said with a crack in his voice "I need to know if Ellie is going to be ok. Please.. I beg you. Find out what you can about Ellie. If anything.. it would be an even greater asset to have at this moment." Ian could tell he was loosing his "cool". He really felt something for this girl...

"You were trying to... save her, Dorothy?" Kay gasped, taken aback. "But... she's the Wicked Witch of the West! Wasn't she trying to kill you? Why would you try to save her?"

Polly didn't know what to do. The Witch of the West had been the only person to ever seriously threaten the welfare of her father, and the whole Rainbow kingdom. How could these people be taking this so lightly? It made Polly mad - and she never got mad! She could be quite dangerous when angry- she did after all have power over the elements.

Taye shot a sideways glance at the newcomer. Ian, was it? He wasn't sure he liked the attention the munchkin was giving to Ellie. Who was he, anyway? Taye had never seen him before... probably a first year. While Taye was generally a pretty laid-back guy, he could get prone to jelousy if he had a particular attraction to someone.
"Glinda said she's alright, so she's alright," Taye said, perhaps a little too harshly.

"What do you mean?" Said Dorothy. "Who's all right? I haven't killed someone else have I?" She said in dismay.
"Yes... I went to the Witch's Castle to beg her forgiveness - never to kill her!"

Kay furrowed her brow. Dorothy was trying to save the Wicked Witch? But why? Wasn't the Witch the Wickedest Witch there ever was, the enemy to everyone in Oz? Surely the great Dorothy Gale wouldn't make such a huge lapse in judgement... and Glinda herself didn't seem to worried about Ellie either. What was going on?
"Excuse me, Miss Glinda, but... what exactly is going on? Is the Wicked Witch of the West our enemy or isn't she?"

Dorothy looked at Kay. "Miss Kay..." Dorothy said, "I honestly don't know very much about the Witch... all I know is that I killed her sister - and that was a terrible thing, intended or not. Regardless of whether the Witch of the East was an enemy of Oz, I had no right to kill her. What would you do if you knew a strange girl, and four companions had been sent by the Wizard to kill you? She may have been Wicked, I don't deny it, but she was still and Ozian. And it breaks my heart..."
