Fiyero kissed Ellie's cheek. "Thank you, sweeheart." And as quickly as they had been in that world, they were again in their own. The frozen time must have been some sort of warning that they were about to be thrust back, and now they were.

She was frozen, too, not as the memory was but on the inside. "Glinda...she was so happy..." a tear rolled down her cheek. "They looked so much like us...but everything messed up...the same way it's starting with us..." she shook her head. They'd lost Ian. Polly was in a possibly permenate coma. Eli wasn't herself at all anymore since everything had started to happen. Claire and Taye were all grown up...married...having children...what if he left her like Fiyero left Glinda? If he and Glinda'd had a child, would it have changed things? Or would it have made a difference? It filled her heart with fear, thinking of the emptiness she would feel if Taye ever left her.

Ellie had changed. Something about going back had created a peace inside of her. She wasn't alone in her differentness. She walked over to Claire - now the same Ellie she had always been. "It's ok Claire. THings aren't getting messed up like that - we're redeeming what happened before."

She had tears in her eyes, shaking her head. "I've never seen her like that. She's not like that now. Is it? Is it?" she didn't want to say because Fiyero left her. She hated to think Glinda had never moved on from that, but what if she hadn't? What if something happened between she and Taye? Could she move on? Did they have a chance of being as happy as Fiyero and Elphaba were, or were they destined to end up like Fiyero and Glinda? She almost wished she hadn't seen...

Fiyero could see her meaning, that she wondered if it had been their parting that disheartened Glinda. It had been, he feared. She'd never been the same after he left her. But then again, she hadn't been the same after she betrayed Elphaba or inadvertantly caused the death of Nessa or Boq's transformation or his own, either. She tended to take on the guilt of a lot of things that she truly had no control over.

She threw her arms around Ellie, tears pouring down her face. "I don't want to loose you. I don't want to loose him. We lost Ian already. We lost Polly. I don't want to loose any more of us." Nothing had ever moved her quite like that. Her heart had broken from the scene.

"Claire" he laid a hand on her shoulder. "We all found each other again. Glinda isn't broken...she's just bruised. We all are bruised from the experiences in our lives. It's part of what shapes us. But Glinda and Elphie are best friends again. Glinda and I can talk...we are friends in our own right. We lost Nessa along the way...but people do die. Things happen. And Boq has chosen to stay distanced from us. But I love my wife more than anything, and she loves me. We have weathered the test of time and many obstacles. You'll make it through. You all will."

She glanced over her shoulder at Fiyero and smiled. She held Ellie close and ran her fingers through Ellie's hair, grasping her tightly. "I just can't bear the thought of loosing you."

"I know. I didn't mean it that way..." she slowly let go, looking Ellie in the eyes, "You mean the world to me. Just during the time you were ornamentized...not being able to talk to you...to see you..." she shook her head, trying to wipe away the tears. "I don't ever want to be without you. If I could, I'd put your curse on me too, so I'd never have to leave you, either."
