[Elphaba Thropp]

"Well, what should we do? What would you like us to do Glinda?"

[Glinda Upland]

"I...don't know..." she swallowed the lump in her throat. "You can't undo magic."

[Elphaba Thropp]

"No, but we have this time to live over now. And the question is, do we WANT to know what happened? Do we want to make informed decisions, or just let what happened happen? You know, if we change even one thing, it could have a butterfly effect"

[Glinda Upland]

"Well...yes...but...know Mombi's a threat. Keep a look out for her. And the Nome King...is alive and probably waiting to pounce. And when time comes where we all go 'where is Ozma?' if you want to know, ask. Because I know. And I know I could never love anyone but Boq...even though Richard, I now know, has been in love with me even longer than Boq has. Polly's easily lead, and we should shepherd her the right direction. Something will come about where you will be made good...and no matter what happens to Ellie..she can't be killed..."

[Elphaba Thropp]

"But already - that's a change in the pattern. Ellie wasn't immortal before. In the Nome King got wind of that, it would certainly change everything for the worse. We need to come up with a plan of attack, which isn't easy, since it seems Ellie's friendship with Claire is key, and they're not friends yet."

[Glinda Upland]

"I give them a week," she laughed. "Claire's not afraid of you. You did everything in your power last time to scare her, and she's not. She thinks you're goodhearted and misunderstood. She's very trustworthy. Ellie can open up to her without fear. I can tell you so much about people who are they are who they'll become...what will become of them...not to say it won't change some, but their cores...who they are in their hearts...that's the same."

[Elphaba Thropp]

"But things could change. Things have already changed, Glinda. Basic information would be helpful, but we can't expect things to work out the way they did before."

[Ellie Baum]

"I'd better get back to school..." Ellie said. "I think we should...talk soon." She ran up and gave her mother a big hug. "I don't want to be away from you. I want to know you better. I'm...I'm so scared. I don't want to be hated... Maybe going to Shiz was a bad idea. Everyone thinks I'm a freak."

[Glinda Upland]

"No. You're not a freak, and in time people will see that. You're gifted. They're jealous. Get to know your roommate and make a few friends. You'll be ok. I promise. I'll be...around...if you need me."

[Ellie Baum]

"Apparently, no one needs me" she thought to herself. "I don't belong anywhere" She said, just as Elphaba waved her hand and sent her back to Shiz.

[Glinda Upland]

"I didn't mean to cause all of this..." she shook her head. "I've lost both my daughters.."

[Elphaba Thropp]

"There's some repair to do" said Elphaba "we have some serious damage control to do. Now, I know it was a while ago for you, but right now, we're trying to figure out where the Nome King is, and find Ozma and reinstate her. You said you know where she is, but it's not a simple matter of bringing her out into the open. You're still the steward of Oz, but people are still worried about the absence of the "Scarecrow" - Fiyero's still gone, looking for the Nome Kingdom entrance. And Mombie's still got a hold on everything in Oz...not to mention the fact that Ellie's constantly in danger. Your knowledge may help us, but we still have to be stealthy..."

[Glinda Upland]

"In the past Mombie was working with Nome King whose palace is on the edge of the deadly desert. Morrible has some books she left for Mombi in her drawer. Also, Mombi is keeping that beautiful little girl, Kay, as her prisoner because she is Ozma. She doesn't know it herself, but she has a knack for sorcery. She remembers nothing of her life. I can assume power until further notice, and qualm fears of the scarecrow's disappearance. It's what I did before. It worked well."

[Elphaba Thropp]

"Are you kidding? KAY! After all our searching? We need to remove Mombie from power soon. But I don't know how to do that. Maybe we should just let things play out for now, and in the meantime come up with a plan of attack against the Nome King."

[Glinda Upland]

"I suppose you're right. But still, it's nice to have all the information up front. No digging, no one getting captured. Nothing crazy like that. Maybe it's better this way..."
