"Elphaba!" she bounced up like a small child, forgetting the tea cup on her glass, it spilling all over the floor and shattering. "Oh dear!" she exclaimed, reaching for a napkin and dabbing the tea, cutting her finger on the shattered piece of china. "Oh!" she stuck it in her mouth, sucking at the bleeding finger.

Elphaba waived her hand and Glinda's finger was healed. "Hello Boq" she said.

She looked at it and smiled. "Thanks, dear." she laughed a little, looking at Ellie. "See, you're not the only one who's clumsy."

"Good. No more face plants at public events," she laughed. "It's ok, dear, I've made them, too." she, elphaba, and ellie did make a sort of strange mother-daughter triangle. Both Elphaba and Glinda treated her like she was theirs but showed no signs of jealousy toward the other, rather shared her equally, and Ellie took the fact that she had virtually two mothers like it was normal. It was an odd thing to look on to, she could imagine, for poor Boq.
"I bet you never fell face first at any social function, Boq," she giggled, trying to include him. "At least, never one I saw..."

"Well, to be honest no one ever seemed to really notice me. I was always off in the corner trying to figure out what to do."

"Well..." she felt a little uncomfortable. "at least things have gotten better since then. You're a very well known college professor now." 'whose history questions are about me...' she added nearvously in her head.

She was basically aching to tell Elphaba about her discovery on Boq's test. Then, it occurred to her, she could! Telepathically, she spoke to Elphaba, "Why did you decide to come? Not that I mind I just...I don't want things to get ugly...he's a little emotionally unstable from time to time, especially when faced with or spoken to about you, fiyero, or Nessa. But that aside, I need to tell you something. I made a discovery before Ellie came in. Boq dropped his bag of tests and almost every single question is about ME. I don't know whether to take that as a compliment...or be terribly afraid..."

"YOu didn't know that?" Elphaba thought back. "EVERYONE know's all you learn about in BOq's class is YOU - and a little about the Wizard and Dorothy. I guess he went out of his way to keep you from finding out, but everyone else has always known."

"I guess he did. Because I never did! Until today...is that flattering or frightening? I mean, what should it be?"

"Just typical I guess. I mean, it's not QUITE as creepy as it probably seems to you. After all, EVERYONE has to learn about you - you're one of the most important figures in Ozian history. He just places much more, slightly biased emphasis on you."

"You make me sound like I'm Ozma...I'm not that important. One hundred years from now no one will remember I even lived.. She sighed inwardly, looking at Boq. What did he mean to her? What did she feel? How could she know? "You also didn't tell me why you decided to come..

"I thought it might help put things right. It would be better for him to get used to me in a group. I can go if you want.
You ARE important - you've been more important in recent years than Ozma has - you held Oz together for over 15 years. Everyone loves you - you'll always be a key figure in Ozian history."

"Hah. Thanks for the encouragement, and no, don't go. I just was curious...I basically told him that if he loved me, he could love you and Ellie too because I loved you both. It's a package deal."

Ellie sat in slightly uncomfortable silence. She knew Boq didn't really like her...though he seemed to be supportive of her future plans for Munchkinland...
