"No!" Ellie stood up. "Dr. Lipsin is wonderful, but I don't think he's qualified. Mother - you should become the headmistress! It would be wonderful for changing the views in Oz!"

"Ellie...while I do agree your mother is highly qualified and would be wonderful at the job, I'm not thinking everyone will see it that way..." she new Elphaba knew it, so it wasn't really stepping on toes. "Moreover, we can't override Ozma. Now, we could speak to her about the whole thing, but if she thinks Dr. Lispin is the most qualified, then we simply cannot do anything about it."

"But she probably doesn't think mother would be interested. She knows more about Oz, and cares more than anyone else. If she became the headmistress, and did a good job, we could finally start changing some opinions. And she'd be a MUCH better teacher. Plus with you teaching Sorcery WITH her..."

"Then the both of you should talk to her about it..." Glinda nodded. "It's not that I don't think it's a wonderful idea, because I do. We would simply have to go through the right channels."

"I agree. Then you and Boq would have more time to catch up."

She shot a sort of sly glance to her. How much did Ellie know? How much had Elphaba told her? "I guess we would, wouldn't we?" she smiled at Boq, her demeanor changing in a matter of seconds. She truly did light up when she talked to him, even if she never realized it.

Ellie smiled. She saw how both Glinda and Boq lit up when they were around each other. Boq hadn't even flinched at the thought of Elphaba as headmistress. He just never stopped smiling at Glinda.

"You haven't said much.." she grinned at Boq, "would you like me to come back to Shiz? See each other every day if we felt like it? Complain about term papers we have to grade and ungreatful students we were never like.." she giggled a little.

"I would love nothing more. I always thought you should be teaching here."

"Then it's settled. If all are in favor, I see no reason why we shouldn't press forward." there was almost a reluctance to take her eyes away from Boq to address the others. "Shiz needs new sorcery professors, so I should see no reason why Ozma wouldn't be in favor of it." she beamed, sitting back in her chair a little. "This has certainly been a productive day."

Claire shuffled into the doorway looking rather less put together than her normal self, "Glinda I needed to ask---" she stopped, seeing the room full of people and smiled, shifting Gayelette on her left hip. She almost didn't seem like Claire at all: hair tied back in a piece of fabric, bangs fallin in her face, in pink sweatpants and a white tanktop with a baby on each hip.
They were getting so big now. Gayelette could say a word or two, while Tristan was still mostly making nonsense. They both could crawl well, and Gayelette was trying her hardest to walk. Neither had succeeded yet though. Tristan cared far more about being cared than using himself as his mode of transportation, though. The children had turned out to be very different indeed. Tristan hugged his Mommy's side as she held him, but Gayelette continuously squirmed, causing Claire to readjust.
"Hi...Elphaba...Ellie...Boq..." she went around the room, nodding a little. "I had no idea you had company. I'm sorry. I'll be back later."

"Oh, no Claire. Just stay." she stood and walked over to her, taking Gayelette. "I want to see my babies anyway..." Glinda had come a long way. She'd been appreciative of the time she got to spend with Claire's children, sometimes dreaming they were her own. Nonetheless, she did love them greatly and always appreciated getting to see them. "Hello there, little lady. How are you today?" she smiled down at the child in her arms, then dipped her backwards, making Gayelette giggle with delight.

"Oh Claire! My mother and Glinda are going to be the new heads of the Shiz sorcery department!"

"Well, it's not decided, but we're definately going to try." she brought the little girl close to her face, wrikling up her nose and smiling, kissing her cheeks and forehead. "And you can come visit Auntie Glinda and Auntie Elphie anytime..yes, you and mommy and brother can any time."

"That's wonderful," smiled Claire, "congratulations to you both." she half hugged Glinda, as best she could with each of them holding a baby, then walked over to Elphaba, hugging her as well. Tristan began to squirm a little and cry being that close to Elphie. The green woman seemed to have a negative effect on him. They'd had little contact since he was an infant, but perhaps her skin scared him. Or maybe it was just because she always dressed in all black...
