Claire recieved a message from Mombie as did the other students and handed it to Glinda. "Mombie is trying to get us back. I'm not going..."

Kay was utterly confused. She had no idea who any of these people being talked about were... Fiyero? Turtle Heart? Nessarose? But either way, her panic was beginning to subside.
She gave a small smile as she looked up at Ellie. "If she's your mother, and a friend of Miss Glinda, then... she can't be so bad." She looked up at the Wicked... no, the Good Witch of the West, and smiled. "To be honest, Miss Witch, you're not quite so frightening when you aren't trying to be scary..."

"She had to be frightening to protect herself, Kay." She read the note quickly. "Everyone disreguard this message, please. Mombie can no longer be trusted, and the fact that she sides with the Nome King proves it."

Taye gave a small smile, tousling Kay's hair. She was such a cute kid. His expression turned grim as he looked at Claire.
"I'm not either. I wouldn't put it past her to expel us for fraternizing with the 'enemy'. Besides, it can't be safe to put Kay back in her care..."

"What are we going to do?" Ellie said. Suddenly she had an idea. Now that she had no more secrets, or almost none, she was becoming fearless... a leader.
"I know. Here's the plan. We're a team now. All of us. The fellowship of Oz. We need to figure out how we can best help, and divide ourselves accordingly. Claire, Kay, Taye, and Polly - you go back to Shiz. You can keep an eye on Mombie that way. I'll go back to Kiamo Ko with with Elphaba. If they think I've been captured... well...it'll set me up as a martyr - and give me more playing power when I return. Dorothy - you stay with Glinda in the Emerald City. They'll hail your return. They'll tell you everything you want to know. Ian - maybe you should go back to Munchkinland - it's closer to the Nome Kings Palace."

Taye nodded. "I agree. Although I feel like it would be safer if Kay were to remain in Glinda's care with Dorothy... Mombi is sure to be in a rotten mood now. I see no reason to return her to Mombi's care now that she's already out for once."

Claire grasped Ellies hands, "I don't want to leave you, but I will." She looked at Elphaba. "Now, you take care of her. I help up my end of the bargain." She hugged Ellie close. "Goodbye for now."

Polly was still sitting there with her mouth open. Her more than any of the others was having a hard time believing this about Elphaba. Was Glinda under a spell? Should she warn Mombie? What should she do?

"I don't want anything to happen to Kay, but at the same time, I don't want Mombi coming after us thinking we are taking Kay away from her." She crouched to be level with Kay. "Is it safe for you to return to her? I don't want to take you back if you won't be safe."

"Polly..." She noticed her off in the corner. "I promise you this is all for the best. Mombie is not a good person. She is the wicked one. You believe me. You trust me, don't you? I'm Glinda the Good, and I wouldn't lead you down a path of Wickedness. You've known me a long time, Polly. Look in my eyes." She looked her straight in the eyes. "Nothing has changed in me. It just took up until now for it to be safe enough for anyone to know."

Polly was so confused. But they were talking about a revolt here! This couldn't be good. "Do we always know what's good?" She asked. A very deep question for a very, fluffy girl.
