"You're telling me! I've been on a train for three hours!" Ellie collapsed onto her bed. "Do classes start tomorrow? I haven't had time to get any of my books yet."

"Actually you have a few days. They do require new students to go to a seminar tomorrow, but for us experienced students..." She stretched out and laughed. "We have tomorrow free. Then there's a free day...then classes..."

"She would...she might have your head..." Claire said teasingly, knowing that Mombie had a fondness for stealing the heads of unscrupulous pupils...or so she had been told.

"I don't think you have too much to worry about. She's not very into people of our age. She likes her heads to be a little more distinguished. Plus, she has a nice collection already, so I don't think she's in much need of many more. Mostly, I think it's a tactic of the older students to scare the new ones telling them she'll 'have their heads'." Claire laughed. "It's cruel and most don't believe it until they actually see her walking around with entirely different heads!" She thought back on her first time seeing Mombie completely changed. It had been an eerie feeling because it was unmistakably Mombie, only with a different face and hairstyle and color. "Plus, you look so much like Nessarose that she wouldn't be caught dead with your head on!"
