"I'm so sorry Glinda" Az continued. "This shouldn't have happened. On the dim, but somewhat bright side, Kay still knows that Boq is her father. That might be our key to getting her back."

"But she thinks that she is Boq and Nessa's! She may have been created out of magic...but it was also out of love...I carried her. I gave birth to her. She's my child!"

"It's terrible what Nessa did. I knew her for years, but I never saw that coming. Sure, she was vengeful when she didn't get her way, but she wasn't ever great at magic. A spell like that would have had to be pretty powerful."

"But.. she still thinks Boq's her father... maybe that's the way in..."

"Yes. We know Kay will accept Boq; we just have to be careful to make sure Nessa doesn't get too close."

"I...I...don't..." Glinda stammered. "I should stay away. I'll become overly emotional and drive her away..."

"I don't know" said Elphie, "It might jog her memory. After all, we have to remember that spells are irreversable. She could have changed the spell, but she couldn't have totally erased the spell that Ellie and I cast..."

"That's true," Az added. "She can't have erased the spell, just gone around it."

"You knew her best during her last days" said Elphaba. "What do you think she's up to?"

"I think that she's gotten one third of what she wants: a daughter. She'll be after Boq's love and her life now." Az replied, "Though those things should be obvious. It's how she'll do it that's the question."

"Ellie. She'll go after Ellie..." Elphaba said with tears in her eyes - she looked down at Glinda. They could both loose their little girls...

"No. Ellie's not leaving out of either of our sights." Glinda announced. "I've lost one daughter. I will not lose another!" True, biologically Ellie was Elphie's, but she'd grown up just like one of her own. She wold not let her slip away...something horrid happen to her like to her own flesh and blood. She'd been naive to think Kay was ok, but now she knew Ellie was not. She wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Elphie was nervous, seeing the look in Glinda's eyes. Almost as if to cope with what had happened to Kay, Elphie saw Glinda latch on to Ellie - almost putting all her motherly hopes and instincts on her. If anything happened to Ellie it would almost be more devistating. After all, Glinda had raised her, she hadn't technically raised Kay.
"We need to do something FAST. I wonder if Fiyero might be of any help... neither Ian nor Nessa know who he is... Az... how did Ian respond to your offer of help?"

"Said he didn't need it and brished me aside," Az sighed. "He did agree to keep my offer in mind though."
